Individual and Couple Psyschotherapy
Individual Psychotherapy
I work collaboratively with individuals to explore who you are, who you want to be, and what you want to do. When you identify your strengths, aspirations, and passions, you can take steps to align your actions with these, while overcoming obstacles along the path. Change happens from the inside out and the outside in --- insight and action. I draw from my experiences as a coach, consultant, educator, and psychologist to help you develop skills and strategies to apply to the challenges you face in the many arenas of your life: personal, relational, career, avocational. We will work to shift long-standing behavior patterns and to heal hurts that may be holding you back from experiencing a more meaningful life and more connected relationships.
I approach my work with couples using the foundation described above. I draw on established theories, practices, and advanced training programs from the following leaders in the field: Dr. John Gottman ( Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work ), Dr. Sue Johnson (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Hold Me Tight ), Dr. Richard Schwartz (Internal Family Systems, You Are the One You've Been Waiting For ), Dr. Dan Siegel (Interpersonal Neurobiology). I tailor couples therapy to meet your specific needs, both as a couple and as individuals.
